Kathy Ambrose

Kathy is a First-Class award recipient, has raised two daughters who earned Gold Awards, and understands the importance of Girl Scouts in our communities.

Kathy has held almost every volunteer position imaginable with various Girl Scout councils, everything from a CIT at camp, to a Troop Leader, to a Service Unit Manager and Gold Award Mentor. Kathy has also been a member of the Membership Connection and Gold Award Committees. She has traveled internationally with girls from across the nation, and was selected to attend the International Scout Jamboree in Ireland in 2002. Kathy has visited the Cabana and Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace in Savannah, Georgia.

Kathy has earned several awards from Girl Scouts, including the President’s Award, outstanding volunteer, outstanding leader and she received the Honor Pin from Girl Scouts of Mile Hi Council, however, she is most proud of her Girl Scouts Thanks Badge. Kathy has been honored by the United Way with the Frances Wisebart Jacobs award, and is very active as both a volunteer and philanthropist throughout the community.

Because of their belief in the Girl Scout mission, Kathy and her husband Rick issued a challenge a year ago to encourage new Daisy's Circle members. They pledged up to $25,000 matching new or increased Daisy's Circle donations and we met the full match!

Thank you Kathy and Rick!
